ComBricks Power Module
The ComBricks 6A Power Module provides power to the ComBricks backplane when the total power of the inserted modules exceeds the capacity of the power supplied by the ComBricks Headstation. To determine if a ComBricks lineup needs the 6A Power Module, examine the MAX current consumption of each inserted module (excluding the headstation). If the total exceeds 2,500mA, then a Power Module is recommended. The MAX Power consumption can be found on the side label of each module, and also in the Module Datasheet, which is part of the ComBricks User Manual.
If a 6A Power Module is used, then a power supply should NOT be attached to the Headstation as well. The 6A Power Module provides enough power for the whole ComBricks lineup. If redundant power supplies are desired, then two 6A Power Modules may be used.
