ComBricks Head Station Type 1A
The ComBricks Head Station Type 1A consists of a Type 1A Head Station and an expandable backplane unit. The Type 1A version of the Head Station does not include licenses for ProfiTrace OE. No monitoring is possible with this unit unless the firmware license is upgraded to Type 1B or 1C. It is intended for customers who just want the flexibility of ComBricks modular repeaters and do not want monitoring, or who already have ProfiTrace 2. You can upgrade the firmware license at a later date with no change to the hardware.
ComBricks™ is a Modular PROFIBUS repeater platform that allows you to build an intelligent repeater backbone for permanent monitoring of up to four PROFIBUS Networks at the same time!
All ComBricks systems consist of a Head Station such as the Type 1A plus up to 10 repeater modules. The repeater modules come with either one or two channels (PROFIBUS segments) each, so it is possible to build a backbone of up to 20 segments with a single ComBricks system. In addition, each segment can be assigned to any one of four possible networks!
ProfiTrace OE allows you to monitor the installation remotely over the network using just a web browser. It is now possible to check the health of your installation from anywhere in the world using ProfiTrace OE, thus allowing you to get maintenance personnel on the scene more quickly, and to diagnose and correct the problem fast.
