ASCII to EtherNet/IP Gateway – 435NBX
Efficiently and easily move ASCII serial data into a Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) with the 435NBX ASCII to EtherNet/IP PLC Gateway. The 435NBX Gateway allows for the continued use of existing economical ASCII devices in an EtherNet/IP PLC environment. Not only is the ASCII serial data converted to EtherNet/IP the data is sent directly to a PLC register or tag.
Connect up to (2) ASCII serial data generating devices to an array of PLCs with one 435NBX Gateway. The 435NBX Gateway is designed for use with MicroLogix, ControlLogix, CompactLogix, PLC-5 and SLC5/05 Allen-Bradley EtherNet/IP PLCs. Existing ASCII generating devices such as bar code readers, measurement equipment and RF ID readers are connected via one RS232 serial port and/or one RS232/RS422/RS485 serial port.
Application setup is fast and easy using the included browser based configuration software. No need for specialized tools such as RSNetWorx™ or other configuration management software. Simply open the 435NBX Gateway configuration webpage in your browser and set the serial port settings, IP settings and messaging delimeters and tags. Save the base configuration parameters for easy setup of multiple 435NBX Gateways.
